EN1A
square bright bar is a very popular grade of the
bright bar of low carbon-manganese free cutting steel, that is most suitable
for the manufacturing of repetition turned components, such as nuts, bolts,
hydraulic fittings, and studs. EN1A
square bright bar is particularly where intricate drilling and machining
operations are involved. It can be case-hardened for producing components with
enhanced wear resistance. EN1A square
bright bar is also available as En1a led for greater machinability. Swarf will form in small parts for preventing
machine blockage.
EN1A
square bright bar is a non-leaded Re-Sulphurised Free
Machining square bright bar. Being a premium grade of free-cutting steel, EN1A square bright bar has excellent

Applications of EN1A Square

EN1A
square bright bar is suitable for applications where
good machinability is the prime consideration. Due to this, they are utilized
for the speedy production of single or multiple spindle automatic lathes and
capstan lathes of finely finished components that will not be exposed to high
stresses, e.g. light duty studs, cycle components, and many intricate parts for
textile and printing machinery.
EN1A
square bright bar cannot be relied upon to possess
good transverse properties and should not be used for hollow parts that might
be subjected to an internal pressure that would set up wall stresses
dangerously near to the transverse yield stress. Case hardening of EN1A square bright bar can be carried
out but this steel is not recommended for general case hardening work and it is
not purposefully made for use where the hardened case is subject to severe
impact.
Typical applications of EN1A square bright bar are Brake hose end, hydraulic parts,
pulleys, disc brake pistons, wheel nuts, and inserts. EN1A square bright bar is also used in the manufacturing of control linkages, hear box components
(case hardened), domestic garbage bin axles, concrete anchors, padlock
shackles, hydraulic fittings, and vice jaws. EN1A square bright bar is used mostly found in the bright form.
Testing and Packaging of EN1A Square

Testing and packaging are one of the most
